“Make Way” Track Review

Qire Snow is back with his second loosie track in just over a month. Just like the previously released track, Qire continues to detail the struggles of coping with the hurt that loved ones have caused him. Whether it is a family member, a partner, or a friendship; whatever it is that has Qire inspired to create such emotional and transparent music; you can tell he cares about these people very deeply. Qire floats on the beautiful instrumental, provided by Jack, with a voice that sounds like what watching a movie where you’re rooting for the main character to get out of this funk they’re in feels like. The first minute of the verse seems to be Q talking to someone about the struggles he’s been going through. As we reach the one minute mark, the beat switches and the focus seems to focus on him speaking to that someone they were previously talking about. With about 30 seconds left on the track, Qire finishes up his verse to then bring in his guest verse provided by Oakland, CA native Ovrkast. Ovrkast doubles down on the emotions that Qire has been rapping about, like a friend that lets you know they understand where you’re coming from because they’ve been through the same thing. It feels like the perfect way to end a track with the tone that it presents. I’m hoping that more loosies turn into a single, which turns into more singles, which turns into a project for Qire Snow in 2020. I’ll be looking forward to hearing what he has in store for us for the rest of the year. You can listen to the song right below.
