The Orlando Anarchy: From A Losing Season To Playoff Bound

The Orlando Anarchy is a team from the Woman's Football Alliance (WFA) that is making their first playoff run in years. From having a defeated season, to now only losing 1 game this season, the Orlando Anarchy will be showing the rest of the WFA what they have in store for their playoff run.

With the final score of 13-42, the Orlando Anarchy took their first loss of the 2017 season on their home turf at Trinity Preparatory School on May 27th. Even though the team had just taken their first loss, the all women's semi-pro team still held their heads up high and spirits even higher. With smiling faces and warm embrace from family, friends, and fans that watched the game, the Orlando Anarchy were in good sprits because of their teams transformation from last year.

Coming off a losing season, the Orlando Anarchy rallied together and came back stronger and better this season to have a current standing record of 6-1. With such a great record, the Orlando Anarchy were able to clench the number one seed in their devision, where they will be playing against the number two seed, the Cincinnati Sizzle.  Their playoff run is looking very promising based off of the performance that put up against division II team, the Miami Fury.

The game against the Miami Fury was hard fought and full of emotions. With ejections, injuries, hard hits, and many flags being thrown against both teams, the names of both the Anarchy and Fury are reputable for the amount of intensity and resilience that both teams brought that night. Even though it was a tough loss and emotions were high throughout the game, when the game was over - both teams met at the center of the field to come together for one cause. They are apart of the Women's Football Alliance. With a countdown 3-count breakdown from the coach and the "WFA" shout from both sides, the teams showed respect to each other one more time before parting ways.

With the Orlando Anarchy currently sitting at number 15 in team scoring and number 6 in team defense , their playoff chances are looking great for them. From losing all of their games last season to being 6-1 and playoff bound this season, the Orlando Anarchy are a bunch of scrappy, hard hitting women that are looking to take it all the way this year. By staying resilient every game, fighting to the last second of the final quarter, and staying #CoryStong, the women of the Orlando Anarchy could come back to Orlando with a championship trophy.
